Event Highlight ~ Realizing the Business Value of EA (3 Apr 2012)

On 3 Apr 2012, AEA-HK and Deloitte co-organized a speaker event on the topic of “Realizing the Business Value of Enterprise Architecture”. It was our pleasure to have speaker, Richard Suslick, Specialist Leader at Deloitte Consulting to give the speech and share EA practical experience. He has highligted the value of EA and EA assessment. The event was great success and we had over 20 people registered to the event. Hope we can put EA from awareness into adoption in HK.

Event: Realizing the Business Value of Enterprise Architecture

Most of you may already know the benefits of Enterprise Architecture, but it is not easy to realize the business value of EA project. In addition, it requires top management support and sponsorship on its value and return.

Mr. Suslick has 40+ years of progressive and specialized Management, ADP, and Information Science experience. Mr. Suslick has both a Master of Science degree in Business Administration Carnegie Mellon University and a Computer Science degree from Carnegie-Mellon University’s Artificial Intelligence Lab. Masters As founder, President, and CEO of Cedar Cliff Systems Corporation Mr. Suslick built the company into a diverse and profitable systems house, receiving awards in 1993 and 1994 as one of Washington’s Fast 50 growth corporations. Cedar Cliff Systems achieved national recognition as an Inc. 500 Company growth firm in 1993 (#53) and again in 1994 (#137). Mr. Suslick has appeared on various national news reviews including CBS. Mr. Suslick has worked as an appointee to the U.S. Supreme Court and in positions requiring the application of a wide range of diverse skills, both technical and managerial. His talents range from pure computer science AI research and speech recognition, to marketing, sales support, and hardware/software training and development.

Seminar Highlight ~ EA Awareness (5 Dec 11)

On 5 Dec 2011, AEA HK and HKCS EA SIG co-organized a seminar on the topic of “EA Awareness”. It is a great success and we got a full house, that is more than 50 people attending the seminar. I could see most audience had learnt a lot about EA from the speaker, Judith Jones (Architecting the Enterprise CEO). Hope it can raise the EA awareness in the community. 2nd Annual Cloud Computing 2011

Dave Chen, the Chairman of Association of Enterprise Architects, HK Chapter (AEA HK) will be participating into the 2nd Annual Cloud Computing 2011 Conference. The conference will be held from 18 – 19 October 2011 at Harbour Grand Kowloon Hotel, Hong Kong.

1st Committee Meeting of AEA HK

Association of Enterprise Architects, Hong Kong Chapter (AEA HK) will have the 1st committee meeting on 15 July, 2011 (FRI) 19:00. This meeting is a very important milestone for AEA HK. With the gathering of Enterprise Architects professionals in Hong Kong, we will elect the committee members for AEA HK.
